I don't think we should be so hard on the movie. I mean, yeah, it was bad, but it could be a lot worse. It could have not even been based on the books at all, but just a movie cash-in of a similarly named but less liked series. Can you imagine if you paid to see Eragon and instead you get some absurd, cartoonish knock-off? That's a lot worse than just missing some plot points.

I get your point, but is it really so hard to add pointy ears?

I may just be grasping for straws here, but yes. Based on the production values of the movie, it appear to just be trying to cash-in on the Eragon craze, not being accurate to the book.
Think of what pointy ears would add: you would need a steady supply of good looking pointy ears to paste onto the actor, makeup artist to apply the ears and smooth out the makeup so that you couldn't tell it was there, and extra time each shooting day to add all this. Guessing by the movie, it just wanted to get the 'feel' of the book, not get it perfect, i.e., the lack of pointy ears. :nerd:

Also, Kevin is an awesome name.

The book and series are awesome. I just discovered that book 4 is coming out in November (finally!).

The movie, oh god, don't get me started. I hated it.

I saw the movie first, and I liked it. A while after I read the book, and re-saw the movie. I can't believe I actually liked the movie to begin with. Where the heck did Solembum go? And where was the star-sapphire?

YES! But the book wasn't all about dragons, and that was dissapointing. I LOVED the movie! Why does everyone think that they killed the story by making the movie? I mean, sure they left out a bunch of stuff, but at least Saphira looked awesome. They got all of the main points through, even though it was a tad bit confusing. I still think the movie was good.

I love all the books, Brisingr in particular, but the movie... *groan*
I can't wait for Inheritance to come out! In the meantime, I'll just reread the series, I guess..

I almost lost my curiosity about the fourth book.
But i have to reread the other three books, barely remember what was happening. I will skip the boring parts, though xD

Remember a child and Roran and so.. uhh.... cool stuff :) *gets more things in mind* Should reread them sooon! I like the books, was a bit disappointed with the film (Why does Arya told him who she is?) but i don't remember it that clearly.

I like Thorn and Roran, and the Story about Eragons mother. Curious who will get the green dragon!
When i was younger i tried to write a fanfic, but i didn't came far. Little child with a great affinity for dragons and a romance with a man who has lost his former dragon...

well, enough xD Expecting the fourth book to be good!
