Would you draw my D&D character?

Post by TheNewBlack »

Hey, I'm looking for somebody who's willing to draw my D&D character. Please name your price and include an example of your work. Thanks!

My character:
Perpetua
Race: Female tiefling/drow cross
Class: Paladin
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Background: Charlatan
God: Heironeous
Symbol: Black heart
Motive: Faith
Oath: Conquest
Archnemesis: Samiel

Traits:
Natural born gambler. Can't resist taking a risk that might pay off.
Independent. Nobody tells me what to do.
Bisexual and promiscuous. I can't resist a pretty face.
Lacks an innate conscience; although chaotic good, she has a strong propensity toward impulsive evil and folly.
I have a long lost son somewhere. I seek to make the world a better place for him.

Appearance:
Skin: Obsidian black
Horns: Black and gazelle-like
Long, devil-like tail
Sharp teeth
Eyes are solid orbs of red in darkness and violet orbs in light
Hair color: Fiery red with pale lilac streaks
Perpetua is young, beautiful, and very exotic looking. Her feet are cloven hooves, and she has 7 fingers on her right hand and 6 fingers on her left. She wears a holy symbol of a lightning bolt around her neck. The words of her oath are branded into the skin of her upper arm, along with a black heart above them.

Backstory:
Perpetua was once Persephone, after the queen of the underworld. A product of a Tiefling's assault on a Drow, she was abandoned by her mother and grew up in the Underdark, where she was an outcast and vagabond because of her unusual lineage. Unable to find acceptance or respect anywhere, Persephone wandered the streets, making money through gambling, stealing, conning, and prostitution. A firm believer in hedonism, she pursued pleasure and profit without remorse and with reckless abandon and became very skilled in her sinful craft, at least enough to survive. As a result of her activities, she became pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy. Unwilling to care for him, she left him on the nearest doorstep and went her way, returning to her previous lifestyle as though nothing happened.

One day she was approached by a mysterious stranger, who told her that she had been chosen by the god Heironeous to become a paladin. She laughed at the prophet and protested that no god of lawful good would choose her, knowing the things she had done. He replied that Heironeous did know what she had done; that he had seen the nights she had slept on the cold streets alone, the times she had stolen to eat, and he had seen the doorstep that she left her child on.

Persephone was mystified that this man she had never seen before knew her darkest secret, and, skeptical yet curious, she agreed to meet him at the temple of Heironeous the next day. When she arrived, he introduced himself as Merrick and told her it was an honour to meet her, because she was destined to do great things. "But what's in it for me?" she asked. "As a champion warrior for Heironeous, you will find honor, glory, fame, power, and most importantly, you will find out who you really are. And I tell you, you are no longer Perspephone, but Perpetua, because your legend will last forever," he told her. Being a misfit wherever she went from the time she was born, the idea of finally having an identity and a place where she belonged and was respected sounded appealing to Perpetua and after some more persuasion, she finally agreed to enter into training to become a Paladin, with Merrick as her personal tutor.

After her training, she was fully convinced by the values and doctrine of Heironeous and strived to embody his ideals and attain her destiny. However, she still struggles with her previous habits and innate propensities toward evil and folly. The battle against herself is a war that is constantly raging on, and one she often loses.

As they parted ways, Merrick gave Perpetua one final farewell and warning: "Now go blessed, go blessed, go blessed; but you must believe, and you mustn't ever look back."

Throughout her journeys, Perpetua is learning to control her darker tendencies, practice the tenets of Heironeous, and fight against the forces of evil both within and without to become a holy paladin worthy of greatness. But as she is still young and immature in the faith, she has a long ways to go from the place where she was.

Hello !

So to begin with, I want to draw your character, but I don't know anything about D&D sorry. I get that tieflings have a quite demonic appearance, and drows are "dark elves" living underground (correct me if I'm wrong ^^

Anyway, I kinda like the character and need to train anyway, so I'm gonna try to draw her, and will provide you with some sketches, just to see if you like it.

Just so you know, I can't do elaborate digital art right now, my computer is 7 years old this year, and launching photoshop kills it, but I can provide with pretty decent lineart if you really want digital art example yeaah sorry about the stiff pose, not my fault Lexus is such a drill sergeant.
Other possibility would be the kind on my avatar, (drawn with my finger on my smartphone, so only available in small size unless you want to see the shakey lines XD)

OR I could give you traditional art yaaaay ^^

OK enough about this message already ^^

EDIT : I gotta tell you : 7 fingers make for some very large hands XD must be a nasty slap !
Current gifts : 17/25 Thank youuuuu !
Can still breed some crystalwings and event creatures not on cooldown !
I have no wishlist, I welcome anything !

Haha!
Ok, for some reason the link is broken, but I do like the art on your avatar. How much would you charge?

Also, I have another character I need drawn now; my son's character who is my character's son and half dragonborn. He's a copper dragonborn with a tiefling tail and horns.

Ok so here are some alternate questions : what's her haircut ? Long, short ? I went there for wavy long, but also though "wilder" ( like part shaved and dreadlocks ^^) I went with small leather armor, because she seems like an AGI type character, but it misses the paladin a bit( it's more heavy armor, right ? ). Also, what's her weapon of choice ?

Well this is merely a small draft, so you can see what I can do, and what you can ask of me ^^ Also, 7 fingers kinda kills me, it makes for gigantic hands.

Hey,
sounds like you got a fun character at hand.

Cause I need some practice I would offer a pay what you want kind of thing, depending on how you will like the outcome ^^ Though I would only do an upper torso kinda thing, if that is ok.

So far I mainly drew my own characters.

^some very quick headshots I did a while ago, my warforged druid and Squish, my kobold warlock
Unfortunately I currently don't have Art of my main char readily available. (got a new computer recently, though can have a look for her file if you want)
